So I don't intend to make this a football blog (I have The Kop for that), but it's so important to me that I don't think I can avoid rambling about it. We've been struggling with so many home draws and issues with the FA, and to be honest, I was terribly worried about the match. Hell, we didn't even play that great in the beginning and our forward was messy (Adam and Carroll disappointing). Felt shite after conceding the first goal but thank God for the quick equaliser. Game drastically improved after Captain Fantastic came on. Top class player. I hope he'll be able to improve the Carroll situation since the striker works so much better with deliveries from midfielders.
The results also mean that all the doubters etc that I've been arguing with on the internet are wrong, but unfortunately Carroll's poor performance just gives the haters more reason to, well, hate him. I don't want to completely give up on him, but he's making it really hard not to. The situation similar to that of Bayern Munich's Mario Gomez a few seasons back; and he's now the league's top scorer. I'm really hoping that it'll be the same for Carroll, because whether I like it or not, he's one of us, and I want nothing but the best for him and the club.
